Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 2026. This policy explains how Löyly&Stone uses cookies and similar technologies, and sits alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
01About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Löyly&Stone uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser local storage, when you visit our website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
We provide this policy in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), as interpreted by guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
02What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your device, remember your preferences and keep certain features working as you move between pages. Similar technologies — such as local storage and session storage — perform comparable functions and are treated the same way in this policy.
03Our approach
We take a deliberately minimal approach. This website uses only the cookies and local storage strictly necessary for it to function and to keep it secure. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell or share data with advertising networks, and we do not build marketing profiles from your visit.
Under PECR, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent, which is why you will not see a consent banner asking you to accept optional cookies. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set, and you will be able to refuse or withdraw it at any time without detriment.
04Cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies and storage: used to route you correctly between pages, keep your progress through our sauna configurator during a single visit, protect submissions against cross-site request forgery, and maintain a secure session if you sign in. These are essential — without them, parts of the site would not work.
Session-based configurator storage: the design choices you make in the configurator (style, occupancy and notes) may be held in your browser so your selections survive moving between steps. This information stays in your browser unless and until you choose to submit an enquiry to us.
05Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising or social media tracking on this website. Some essential functionality — such as secure hosting, form handling and email delivery — is provided by trusted suppliers acting on our instructions, and any storage they set is limited to what is needed to deliver that service.
Where we link to external websites, such as journals cited on The Mind & Body page, those sites set their own cookies and are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for cookies placed by external sites.
06Analytics
We do not currently operate third-party analytics or tracking cookies on this website. If we introduce analytics in future, we will either use a privacy-preserving, cookie-free method or obtain your consent first, and this policy will be updated to describe it before it goes live.
07How long cookies last
Session cookies and session storage are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Any persistent cookie we use is kept only for as long as necessary for its purpose, and never longer than required to keep the site functioning securely.
08Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, including blocking them entirely or removing those already stored. Most browsers explain how to do this in their Help or Privacy sections, and you can also use private or incognito browsing.
Please note that because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking or deleting them may prevent parts of this website — including the configurator and enquiry form — from working correctly.
09Your rights
Where information stored by cookies constitutes personal data, you have the rights set out in our Privacy Policy, including the right to access, correct or erase it and to object to its use. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection and cookies, at ico.org.uk.
10Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our website, our suppliers or the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
If you have any question about our use of cookies, email us at dream-sauna@loyly-st.one.
